Finally! Our road trip has began! We're actually a way's into it already as I'm writing from our hotel room in Dallas. We've pretty much just visited New Orleans and took a rest day in Texas. Other than that, there's been a lot of driving, driving, and more driving! Our car has been holding up great. We are so thankful for all the prayers. God has really protected and guided us in numerous ways. The next stops are Albuquerque, the Grand Canyon, then finally, Orange County, CA for Thanksgiving with family. And that will conclude the first part of our cross country trip! It's just been so nice that all of our stuff is taken care of and there's nothing to stress about anymore. Just drive and enjoy America's beauty!
Here are a few photos from my cell phone:
Goodbye, Florida!
Car packed and ready, here we go!
First stop: New Orleans!
Cajun food! Jambalaya, Gumbo, Red beans & Rice!
and the best part, the amazing music! Like being in a movie.
This is a gorgeous, historic plantation outside of NOLA, called Oak Alley.
I couldn't help but feel like I was in a Jane Austen novel here. The land was so beautiful!
Stay tuned for more later!
